As a self-employed hairdresser, I wasn't sure how I would pay my new mortgage and the rest of my bills if I got sick.

I went to AFL for advice, and they not only provided me with mortgage insurance and critical illness cover, they also provided me with an income protection plan in case I was off work with a short term accident or illness. All of this was for the same monthly price that the bank had quoted me for basic mortgage insurance. I couldn't believe it.

They also advised me on how and why I should start saving for retirement. I now have a pension plan in place. The tax benefits alone are worth it!
